Welcome to LADDER!

LADDER is a 12-18 month professional development program led by expert facilitators from the World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) Project at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A diverse Leadership Team (school-based team of educators) is guided through a process of continuous data-informed reflection to identify targeted areas of need and implement an ELL action plan. District or school-based ELL specialists are trained as LADDER coaches to support their teams through the entire process. The training LADDER coaches receive provides the district the capacity to maintain and expand LADDER beyond the program period.

The dynamic program design also offers LADDER sites high-quality, interactive on-site workshops, continuing technical assistance, networking opportunities, web-based resources and virtual learning through online tutorials on ELL best practices. Download LADDER flyer PDF
